WWF’s mission in Cambodia is to ensure that there will be strong participation and support from all people to conserve the country’s rich biological diversity.  The WWF-Cambodia Conservation Programme that started more than 10 years ago is implemented in 2 landscapes – Eastern Plains Landscape (EPL) and Mekong Flooded Forest (MFF) Landscape and built over the following 4 pillars of interventions: (1) Securing Landscape Integrity sustaining conservation and livelihood development, (2) Freshwater and Sustainable Hydropower, (3) Protected Area Management and Conservation Research and (4) Sustainable Financing – Green Economy.
WWF-Cambodia is looking for one qualified national candidate to fulfill position of Driver based in Kratie province.
  1. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Safely drive project staff, consultants, and other visitors on official trips.
  2. Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of the WWF vehicle(s) including checking diesel fuel, oil, water, battery, breaks, tires etc. 
  3.  Perform minor repairs, facilitate major repairs with legitimate garages, and ensure that the car is kept clean.
  4. Keep record daily mileage diesel fuel consumption, and other records associated with maintenance.
  5. Meet staff, consultants and visitors at the airport and facilitate customs, immigration, and other formalities as appropriate.
  6. Ensure that, in the case of an accident, Private Insurance is contacted immediately and represent the interests of WWF in all claims with private Insurance and/or other parties.
  7. Provide technical aspect to the vehicle procurement committee.
  8. Make sure that the using of the vehicle follows WWF driving policy such as mileage, fuel consumption and repair & maintenance are properly recorded into the logbook.
  9. Ensure that the safety policy is applied to all WWF’s vehicles
  10. Procure essential supplies and equipment as required.
  11. Performs other duties as requested by the  HR and Administration Officer and other senior staff.
  12. Assist HR & Admin Unit with clerical duties, as required, including getting quotations, photocopying, and communicating with all relevant Government ministries and their provincial line departments, UN agencies, and NGOs.
  13. Assist the administrative works such as visa extension and renewal passport for WWF staff
  14. Assist HR & Admin unit at the landscape in delivering reports, letters and mails to/from relevant Government ministries, UN agencies and NGOs.
  15. Assist HR and Admin unit at the landscape to collect bank statements and TAX from Tax department, pay electricity and water utilities, pay telephone bills etc...
  16. Under supervision of Admin and HR office, ensure that Air conditioners, Fan, and telephone line are well function and immediately fix if any problem.
  17. Ensure that the whole building remains cleaned and proper.
  18. Ensure that all electrical system is well functioning. Immediately fix any unusual qualities/defects and appearance
  19. may be required to work overtime or on weekends or public holidays as requested by supervisor
  20. Other tasks as request by supervisor
  1. Qualifications:
Education & Experience
  • Basic school education
  • Official driver’s licence
  • Valid certificate from driver training school
  • At least 2 years-experience in driving with NGOs or private sectors
  • Demonstrated experience in working with suppliers and vehicle maintenance companies
  • Experience in working with international visitor is advantage
  • Thorough understanding of safe driving techniques
  • Familiarity with roads and places in Kratie and Stung Treng Provinces
Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge  of driving rules  regulations and  the local roads  conditions
  • Good knowledge of motor vehicle basic maintenance and handling
  • First Aid training certificate
  • Be able to use English
  • Good communication skills
